Cake making
Make cakes for happy times
Who does not like cakes I love them. My love for baking started a few years back when I had to make a few cookies at home. That was an amateur attempt but even with that little bit knowledge I had about baking, cookies tasted well and everyone who ate them appreciated the effort. So I knew I was good even with out any experience in baking.

I don%u2019t do the usual cooking much but I am passionate about baking especially pizzas, cookies and my favorite which is cakes. I took up a few baking classes locally for the keen interest I had in baking and that helped me a lot in my skill.

Then came the stage where I could try everything I learned and started to bake cakes for family occasions and the small locality events. With all the feed back it was natural for me to do something more. I wanted to take this to a next level and turn it into a business.

So I started up a small catering company with the little resource I had, specializing in making cakes. Through the years the trends have changed. People now want cakes in all shapes and sizes so we started cake decorating and experimenting with new designs. Cake decorating has gained a lot of popularity now, and there are so many schools who take up cake decorating classes. These classes are good in a lot of ways, I know Wilton%u2019s classes has a good course. Though I have nt been through a lot of content of these classes.

A few of my recruits now have attended these cake decorating classes as a part of practice. I strongly believe that classes can give you some essential technical skills but you have to be creative enough to come up with design ideas.

Now I look back and it was just my passion for baking that turned up into a business idea and then into a good business. I have a strong belief that if I can do this by following my dream then anyone can do it. You just have to believe in yourself.

Finally I was able to make a blog of my choice. I am not very tech savvy but still I manage to do some things well enough. So I rambled about the way I got into things and made my hobby into my passion and then grew it up into a business.

I am thinking of expansions now, getting into baking classes myself. I have staff who is experienced enough to teach students. None has an experience less than five or sic years. It will be a choice between Baking classes or cake decorating classes.

There is a lot that can be covered in baking classes, a lot of items on the menu after finishing with the basics. Right now I am researching with the idea. The other good option is to start up cake decorating classes. Something which I really love doing. I can take up these classes myself as well.

Cake decorating is quite popular here with a lot of housewives asking me to tell them what to do or to give them tips on decoration. So it makes perfect sense to go for these cake decorating classes. I have to look up to the pricing part. It should nt be too pricey, I ll try to charge less than what my competition is charging and give a lot more value to the product.

When ever I start up with the venture I ll post about it in detail. But it definitely is a good idea to me. Just have to work up the basics to start up with the first batch.
